• What tools do you have for managing databases?

  For security reasons, NovaHost does not support any online tools or applications for managing your database.

  We do, however, allow you to connect to your database through any of the available desktop database management programs available to suit your database platform.  These applications may include:-

  • Microsoft Enterprise Manager
  • MySQL-Front
  • EMS SQL Manager

  These applications provide you with more functionality and security for your databases.

• What is the maximum size allowed for my database?

  Currently we do not restrict the size of your database.  That said, we do expect that customers keep their databases to a reasonable size so as to not affect other customers service.

  We do monitor database usage and notify customers if their databases are getting too large.

• How many databases can I have?

  By default, each hosting plan is allocated a single database.  For each hosting account, you can choose the database platform you require from our list of available database platforms.

  Additional databases can be assigned to your hosting account for an additional fee.
